Being an artist in Wellington means that one is constantly reminded of colour and seasons. Part of the challenge is to interpret what surrounds the city - landforms and harbour. This provides one with ample material to be enthusiastic about.
I describe my lifestyle as inside - outside, where I enjoy living in Ngaio, painting in most mediums. Looking back I have always held a brush in my hand and always felt excited about colour and to a certain extent, the magic of colours running into colours. Visual things surround me, it is the fabric of my life whether it be painting or on my Wairarapa farm where I grow lavender and have 100 olive trees.
