Below is a small selection from the 259 works painted by 110 artists from across New Zealand, as far afield as Timaru, Hokitika, St Arnaud, Feilding, Gisborne and Auckland. Guest artist Bernadette Parsons was one of the 30 artists featured in Denis Robinsons book New Zealand in Watercolour.

Winners of the Awards were:

• Watercolour New Zealand Supreme Award Joint winners: 'Ben Hana - Blanket Man' by Jimmy Chen and 'Morning Shadows, Crown Terrace' by Adrian Cave.
• Gordon Harris Ltd Award for Innovation in Watercolour: 'Rain Over Somes Island, Wellington Harbour' by Libby Kemp.
• French Art Shop People's Choice Award: 'Iced Pond Southland, August' by Dennis Greenwood.
